Panel of remote monitoring databases - Provider

For providers of network monitoring services, the program provides a separate “Provider” module, which displays the summary information on databases of the monitoring systems deployed in remote organizations. With its help, you can assess the state of the monitoring system as a whole and quickly connect to it using a graphical console and web interface. The "Provider" panel displays the following data:

  • Number of hosts in the monitoring list
  • Number of checks with details by status and types
  • Number of monitoring servers serving the system
  • The volume of accumulated the host monitoring statistics
  • Number of connections to the monitoring database
  • Number of active queries to the database
  • The monitoring database file size
  • Amount of memory occupied by the database server and the database itself
  • CPU load by the database server and monitoring servers

Provider with monitoring server databases

By default, upon the first panel loading, a local database widget is created, installed on the same host. Widgets for other databases can be added using the Add monitoring database button. Specify the IP address of the remote database, name, and other parameters for connecting to it.

setting up a database connection

Each widget has its own context menu, from which you can:

  • ping the database server
  • open a graphical console with the monitoring data of the remote organization loaded into it
  • open the web interface of this server
  • change parameters
  • temporarily remove from control (data on the server will not be updated, but the widget will remain on the panel),
  • remove from panel.

When the connection to the remote database is lost, the widget signals by red color, and error entries appear in its log to analyze the situation.
