The program allows you to monitor FTP servers via the FTP protocol.
The FTP check was developed for monitoring the state of the FTP service on a remote server (on the Internet or LAN). The application periodically attempts to connect to the FTP server with the specified login and password. If necessary, you can specify a proxy server address and the authentication credentials for it. If the server replies with a connection refusal, the application will immediately notify of that fact. With this check, you can promptly respond when the FTP server goes down, before the support staff receives a load of complaints from the users.
Besides monitoring just the FTP server operation, the check can get the number and size of files in a given folder. The program can also track if the number of files in the FTP server folder has changed. This can be useful for monitoring a CCTV system if a DVR/NVR is backing up recordings to FTP. The monitoring check will monitor if new files have appeared in the specified folder. This will mean that the DVR continues to record the signal from cameras and duplicate it to FTP. If no files appear, something is wrong and DVR/NVR is not working.
